Working around the house
Occasionally on Sundays when Jason and I are sitting on the back porch, drinking coffee, doing the crossword, and throwing Calla's ball, one of us will say 'Hey, do you want to fix that thing we were talking about?' and then we'll launch into a 1-4 hour project which we usually don't have the right tools for. But what else are Sundays for? Following you will find the projects we tackled on May 1st!
I had bought bamboo blinds to put up at Aurora, but never did it. When we moved in here, we thought we could pretty up the carport by attaching them sideways to the chain link of the 'dog corral' (otherwise known as the 'tool shed', 'fenced in mess', 'holding pen', 'etc'). Now you can't see all our outdoor stuff when you're walking up to the house!
Does Patchmaster work? Soon we will know. In only 3-4 weeks. Yes, we have to remember to water these areas twice a day for 3-4 weeks. Is it a test of Patchmaster? Or us?
See, first we were just going to do the small area you see here which is a filled in firepit. And for some reason I thought Calla wasn't going to get into it. Ha. Before Jason had finished watering the seed/mulch/whatever in, Calla ran right into the middle of it. I was glad I'd kept all the chicken wire.
Close up of the weird stuff. It had the consistency of cotton balls.
After doing the small area, we figured we might as well try the bigger bare spot too. And we had just enough fencing! It almost ran out. We didn't have enough posts, but since the previous tenants were gardeners we were able to forage for bamboo pieces to secure the fencing.
