Ice Storm - January 13th to 17th
We started off with like 4 inches of rain on Saturday and progressed into icy roads that lasted for 4 days. It was craziness.
We had Monday off for MLK day anyway but then had ice days on Tuesday and Wednesday. I had a project that had to be finished on Wednesday so I still had to work, but I got to do it all from the comfort of my kitchen table and my sofa instead of the office.
My light work station is the couch (complete with cuddly dog and background TV). When I really need to concentrate or need paperwork, then I have to move to the kitchen table.
Who's a cute, sleepy dog?
Rocky seemed to be cold because he kept curling up into a tight little ball so I got him a blanket.
He's even trying to cover up his nose with polar fleece!
We didn't get to take our walks so Rocky was playing hard with his toys. I can only think of two toys that aren't on the floor in this picture.
SNOW!! We haven't gotten snow since February of 2003! or was that 2004?
Rocky had a lick of snow....
and liked it so much he kept going...
It's still coming down!
He's almost looking.
He kept trying to drink out of that bowl. It was funny.
And now witness the snow prancing!
On Tuesday I had the first fire EVER in my fireplace! I know now why I haven't done it before. I'm totally addicted and want one all the time.
On Wednesday everything was starting to melt.
But we still had crazy icicles.
The trees behind me were all coated in ice and made weird noises when the wind blew. Also the fence has a really funny inch of ice on top of it.
There's a tiny snowman in the yard across the street.
It was still cold on Wednesday night.
So I started a fire.
Rocky actually posed! I told him to sit and stay and he sat and stayed while I took this! He's going to be a model dog soon.
